Creating a 1-to-1 template

Learn how to create a 1-to-1 template

1-to-1s are a great way to organise check-ins and alignment meetings.

We've made 1-to-1s as easy and simple as possible.

Here are the steps:

Step 1: Template details

Start by adding the name of the 1-to-1 template, and an optional tile image.

Step 2: Add questions

Here's where you can add the questions that you'd like to use for your 1-to-1s.

Answers from

Here, y0u can select who should be answering the questions.

Select Reviewee if you want only the people being reviewed to answer the questions. E.g. A manager finding out their employees' career aspiration and goals are for the next six months.

Select Reviewer if you want only the reviewer to answer the questions. E.g. A manager writing a performance review for members of their team.

Select Both if you want reviewee and reviewer to answer. E.g. A manager and employee both rating the employee's performance, and then comparing scores.

Remember, for survey answers from Reviewer and Both, you have the option to make the reviewer's answers hidden.

Two ways of adding questions

For more information on question sets please read this article here.

When it comes to adding questions for 1-to-1s, there are two different options. You can either:

1. Select questions from an existing question set, or

2. Add new questions

Step 3: Activity data

Choose which data you'd like to appear on the reviewee's 1-to-1 form. This is a great way to get an overview of an employee's performance.

Step 4: Preview

Take a look at what the 1-to-1 will look like, both from the point of view of the Reviewee and the Reviewer.

Agenda points

Both the reviewer and the reviewee can add agenda points. Use them to help create a structure for the meeting.

Add any actionable items that come out of the meeting, so that you can keep track.

Both the reviewee and the reviewer can add (either public or private) notes. You can add a note in text form, or even attach documents or self-recorded audio/video items.

Step 5: Done!

Congratulations! You've just created your 1-to-1 template.
